Gwyneth Paltrow makes ‘Contagion’ joke about avoiding coronavirus
Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t taking any chances with coronavirus while traveling to Europe.
The Goop founder, 47, posted a photo of herself on Instagram wearing an Airinum protective mask ($99) and said she’s traveling to Paris, presumably for Fashion Week.
“En route to Paris. Paranoid? Prudent? Panicked? Placid? Pandemic? Propaganda?” she captioned the picture.
“Paltrow’s just going to go ahead and sleep with this thing on the plane. I’ve already been in this movie,” she joked, referencing her role as patient zero in the 2011 movie, “Contagion.” “Stay safe. Don’t shake hands. Wash hands frequently.”
Some of her followers, including actress Michelle Pfeiffer, told her to “be safe,” while Kate Hudson posted, “At least you have the right mask!!!” Fans looking to purchase the mask will have to wait, as the entire website is out of stock.
Others, like Paltrow’s long-time stylist and friend, Elizabeth Saltzman, welcomed her to the City of Lights. “Ready to greet you air kisses only.”
