Mark Angel is a famous Nigerian YouTube star and comedian. He was born and raised in Port Harcourt, River, Nigeria. He was born on May 27, 1991 in Port Harcourt, River, South Nigeria. He is originally from Imo state, southeastern Nigeria. Mark Angel is the founder of the popular comedy “Mark Angel Comedy,” a short comedy video released on YouTube every Friday. Mark Angel currently has 4 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and has 5 million followers on his official Facebook page and 1 million followers on his official Instagram account.

His comedy sketch shows the popular children’s comedian Emmanuella Samuel and Success, who happen to be his cousins. Mark Angel started as a photographer before switching professionally to showbiz in 2011. Previously, he was a member of a theater company called Gingertainment, where he performed stage drama and comedy from one place to another.

Mark Angel has not completed his university education, in fact he is a dropout. In 2008 Mark Angel was admitted to the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria to study medicine and surgery. Unfortunately, his sponsor died a few months later and he had to leave school because no one was there to meet his academic needs.

After leaving Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife for financial problems, Mark Angel moved to Lagos and stayed with a friend. He knew that nobody would sponsor him and therefore decided not to go to school anymore. Instead, he used the money in his savings to travel to India to study cinematography. After studying Chinese cinematography for six months, Mark Angel returned to Nigeria and entered the Nigerian film industry (Nollywood) in 2010.

He began his career as a nollywood editor and director of photography (DOP). He left Nollywood a few years later when he found that the pay was lower and some producers could not pay him at all.

In 2012, Mark Angel met with his friend Denison Igwe and both decided to start a media organization based on comedy. This idea came out of Mark Angel Comedy, a weekly comedy released on YouTube.

Mark Angel became famous in 2014 when he starred with Emmanuella in the popular comedy skit “Oga Landlord”. Mark Angel has received so many awards in Nigeria and abroad along with Emmanuella.
